The Palm Island FC share a long-standing South Coast derby rivalry with Marina South FC, in part due to geographic proximity and both areas respective maritime histories.

On this model, the number 3 is flocked on the back. This number refers to the 3 finger salute. It shows the W for Win, the V for Victory and the L for Love. The sign has become a trademark gesture for many UAE residents and symbolise work ethic, success and love of the nation.
